In Iceland's rich history, the term FULLSTERKUR, translating to 'full strength,' embodies the spirit of strength and determination. Represented by a stone weighing a minimum of 341 pounds, individuals have sought to prove their strength through this iconic challenge for centuries.

 

Historically, in Iceland, a fisherman's worthiness to work and even his wage was determined by his ability to lift these formidable stones.

 

This tradition, deeply rooted in strength and endurance, has found its way into today's global strongman competitions and strength communities. In the spirit of a culture that values strength above all, FULLSTERKUR BARBELL CLUB seeks to carry on that tradition.

Our facility is outfitted with highly specialized equipment tailored for barbell sports, including powerlifting, bodybuilding, and Olympic weightlifting.

We limit available memberships to maintain a high quality gym environment were you won't be waiting around for equipment.
